Will has been a great help with our family’s Victorian double skiff, which needed some important repairs after a long period of use without much maintenance. This included replacing the stern post and sections of the keel which had been allowed to rot, which required considerable skill to achieve successfully. Also replacing a number of frames/ribs that had split over the years, plus other general repair work. 

He then managed to stain and varnish the repaired and other damaged parts so that they blended in with the original colour and look of the timbers and maintained the previous appearance that we desired (rather than making it all look new and shiny). 

Throughout the process he was patient and informative, giving us a truthful picture of the work required and the chances of success in what we were hoping to achieve. 

In addition he also was able to store our boat for a time when it was otherwise ‘homeless’, while still being able to go out on the river.”
